Reviews and Ratings
I was pleasantly surprised by this pet-friendly hotel. The room, though small, was incredibly comfortable and clean. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, including mailing my forgotten Kindle to my home address. The location was ideal, close to shops, restaurants, and the SeaLife Center. The dining experience at 'Gene's Place' was delicious, but the Wi-Fi being charged extra was a minor inconvenience.
I was upstairs in the old part of the hotel, and while the steep stairwell was a bit of a workout, the room itself was huge with big, long windows. It was perfect for our needs and super close to walking distance from all the cool things we were in town for. However, the room was very small & cramped.
I was thrilled with the historic charm of the hotel and enjoyed the way it was preserved, although the room was a bit dark with a view of an alley and the inconvenience of relocating if I wanted a change. The service was lacking in personality but efficient in meeting our needs. The location was bustling and central, although the view of a carpark was not ideal. Dining options were limited, but the restaurant had cozy vibes. I would choose this hotel again for its unique historical touch and central location.
The hotel rooms were a comfortable and pleasant haven after outdoor activities, despite being a bit small without many electrical outlets. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, offering a superb shuttle service. The location is excellent, near shops, restaurants, and Resurrection Bay. The dining experience at Ms. Gene's was very good. However, the a-la-carte-only dining could be limiting.
I had a wonderful stay at this property with an amazing view and even a fireplace in the room. The cleanliness was top-notch, but there was a slight smell of stale smoke present. The service was exceptional, with the staff going out of their way to ensure a great experience, though a fan was provided for an issue. The location is fantastic, close to popular dining spots and shops, but could use some updates, especially with the carpets. The dining experience was good, with options available nearby, but it was a-la-carte only which could be fine. Overall, a great property to stay at.
